BBB’s Notebook - WCW/TNA Impact 02/25/10

March 3rd, 2010

impact-Lethal stole the promo.

-Why does Abyss have old Hogan music?

-”Brother” count in Hogans promo: 3

-They’re really putting a lot of stock into the WWE Hall of Fame, just in time for WrestleMania.

-Jimmy Hart… Surprised it took this long…

-3D and the Nasty Boys sucked. (Shocking…)

-Eric needs a lozenge.

-Wow, Bischoff was pulling a fast one on Jarrett, not transparent at all….

-Wish Kendrick and Kaz had been given more time.

-Anderson is coming off more annoying then entertaining, heel or not.

-Ok, so Anderson gets a backstage promo, and then after commercial gets another on the stage before his match. Too much… Way too much…

-I did enjoy Bischoffs dig at the celebrity guest hosts.

-The beatdown of Hogan can only lead to awful television.

-And I was right… Styles and Flair vs. Abyss and Hogan.

BBB’s Notebook - WWE Monday Night Raw 02/22/10 (Jewel and some dude…)

March 2nd, 2010

raw-Edge vs. Jericho is set for WrestleMania. Should be good.

-Maryse and Gail Kim sucked. Maryse new Divas champ.

-Nice rack Jewel

-Yes, we know you LIVED IN YOUR FUCKING CAR!!!

-Is Orton going baby? Interesting.

-Legacy vs. Tatsu/Bourne/Kofi was good.

-And Shawn and ‘Taker is now official as well. WrestleMania is shaping up to be another great show this year.

-Christian qualifies for MITB over Carlito. Decent match.

-This bullriding thing is going to be fuckin’ brutal….

-Well Miz, you were right about one thing. That was a guest host activity that ended in disappointment… For the audience.

-Wendi Richter in the HoF? Interesting.

-Bret’s coming back for ANOTHER farewell, man this angle sucks. Brutal.

-I wish they’d get rid of that spinner belt… I hate it.

-So it would appear that Cena will face Dave for the belt in Phoenix, thus rounding out the main events. But what about HHH?

BBB’s Notebook - ROH on HDNet 02/22/10

March 2nd, 2010

roh-Generico and Titus was decent. The downward spiral for El Generico continues.

-Necro Butcher is very convincingly looking for Erik Stevens….

-Bobby Shields and Colt Cabana was useless.

-How many more ROH shows do the Young Bucks have in the can while they are being featured on TNA TV?

-The Briscoes and The Bucks was tremendous.

BBB’s Notebook - WWE Elimination Chamber 2010

March 1st, 2010

-Raw Chamber is up first, Sheamus and Kofi will start it up.

-Triple H looked like Santa Clause when the light shined on him as his pod opened.

-Orton and DiBiase stuffing Kofi’s head through the fence was interesting.

-DiBiase pinning Orton was very cool.

-Eliminations fast and furious now…

-HHH pins Sheamus, new champ on the way.

-Cena makes H tap out to win the strap. Pretty decent contest.

-But here comes Vince, making Cena defend right now against…. DAVE!

-Batista handily defeats Cena to become WWE Chanpion.

-Quite the dramatic entrance for Drew McIntyre.

-I think Lawler and Cole are annoyed with Matt Striker.

-McIntyre retains the IC title over Kane in a pretty solid, well worked match.

-Oh snap!! Gail Kim speaks french… Diss!!!!

-No Divas title match? A tag match with Layla and Michelle McCool? Whoopee…

-The non-tag with Gail Kim and Maryse was horribly done.

-Miz burying Danielson should make for an interesting debut of NXT.

-The Edge/Regal promo was a bit out of place on a ppv but it was brief and did what it needed to do.

-How ironic that The Miz gets opened hardway on the PG-13 Elimination Chamber ppv.

-Mark Henry going through the barricade was cool.

-Miz retains thanks to Show, decent match.

-”I never remember the Undertaker entering a match like that.” Yeah, because he’s never been set on fucking fire before….

-Punk made short work of R-Truth and gets more time on the stick.

-Rey’s hurracanrana to Punk on the steel was sweet.

-No big surprise with Shawn costing ‘Taker the strap.

-HBK with that classic blank face stare.

BBB’s Notebook - ECW on Global 02/21/10

March 1st, 2010

ecwWell this is it for ECW I suppose, let’s go to the videotape.

-Most of the opening promo video clips were from the original ECW. Hilarious.

-Goldust/Yoshi vs. ShowMiz was meh.

-Is this the last ECW episode or the NXT pre-show?

-One more Abraham Washington show, and you know what that means…. Tony Atlas laugh!! In the ring no less!

-Nice shout out to Tommy Dreamer by Christian.

-Where’s Joey to yell CATFIGHT!!

-Jackson and Christian was decent. And I guess its only fitting that the last spot in ECW history was a table spot.

Well I guess that’s it…. Until ECW One Night Stand in 2016.

BBB’s Notebook - CMLL on the Fight Network 02/20/10

February 28th, 2010

cmll-Up first is Blue Panther/Hector Garza/Dos Caras Jr. vs. Hijo De Lizmark/Averno/Mephisto.

-Not a lot of variety in the workers we’ve seen over the last few weeks.

-Tecnicos win the first fall after Caras Jr. Hits a German on Averno. Bland fall #1.

-Rudos win fall 2 after a triple super powerbomb. Bland again.

-Garza gets the pin and the win for the Tecnicos.

3BTV - “Bummer”

February 28th, 2010

BBB’s Notebook - WWE Friday Night Smackdown 02/19/10

February 27th, 2010

smackdown-Jericho is a tremendous heel but I think I’m ready for him to be a face again.

-The Edge/Jericho face to face was well done.

-Baretta/Croft vs. Cryme Tyme was good, I could get into more of that.

-Punk gets a lot of promo time, which I’m cool with.

-Punk/Gallows vs. R-Truth/Morrison was good.
