Recently the vote on SOPA was delayed until early 2012 due to dissenting influence and the backlash of the  immense number of core internet services that this bill targets.  In a democracy this should be enough to defeat the bill, however, in the U.S. it only means that the vote will get delayed until the media loses interest and the backing corporate lobbyists have enough time to “influence” [read: bribe] the vote to their favour.  However, it has been clandestinely moved forward in an attempt to fast track the law under the radar of a culture drunk on materialistic obsession — as such The House Judiciary Committee is reconvening on the 21st of December.  In short, we were lied to.

While it was the intent to give people little time to react, our reaction will not be little.  This oligarchy rules without democracy, consent or support; it fears us, it fears protesters, it fears the solidarity of the Occupy Movement, it fears the 99%, it fears YOU.  The Federal Government currently perches on the narrow brink of collapse, lets give it a nice hard push.  We simply do not need or want the future they’re trying to sell us.  No government can exist that we, the people, refuse to support.  It’s time to revoke that consent.  It’s time to spread the message of dissent everywhere.  Show those who have, and continue to, grant themselves nearly unlimited power how great the force is that rises up en masse to oppose their tyranny.

-Van Dam wins with the 5 star. Nothing fancy, just a solidly worked wrestling match by both guys. Even some (gasp!) psychology.

-MATCH: TNA Television title – Eric Young vs. Robbie E (c)

-E retains with a lungblower after interference from Robbie T. Nothing overly special but a decent match. Rob Terry needs to go away.

-MATCH: TNA Tag Team Titles – Matt Morgan & Crimson (c) vs. The Pope & D-Von.

-What a mish-mash.

-D-Von gets pinned after a double chokeslam. Bland match, they better pull the trigger on this angle with his kids. I’m rapidly losing interest.

-MATCH: X-Division title – Austin Aries (c) vs. Kid Kash.

-Aries hits the brainbuster for the win after some comedy with the belt and some knuckle dusters. Really good match that I’m glad they gave a fair bit of time to. Both guys did great work.

-Some technical difficulties make them look Bush league.

-MATCH: TNA Knockouts title – Gail Kim (c) vs. Mickey James.

-Gail hits Eat Defeat for the win with help from Madison Rayne. I expected a lot more from this match but it was a little slow and plodding for my taste.

-MATCH: Kurt Angle vs. James Storm.

-Storm wins a pretty physical match with the Superkick. Good, hard-hitting stuff. Wouldn’t mind a rematch.

-MATCH: Steel Cage Match – Jeff Jarrett vs. Jeff Hardy.

-Hardy hits a 3rd Twist of Fate after botched interference… Decent enough match I suppose. Sting says 4 days from now a Jarrett gets fired. Way to reward your paying customers.

-MATCH: TNA World Title Ironman Match – AJ Styles vs. Bobby Roode (c)

-Taz doing a great Jon on commentary of helping sell Styles’ leg injury.

-Roode gets a fall ten minutes in after knocking Styles off the middle rope by his knee. Awesome work this far.

-Roode goes up another fall with a figure four leglock about half way in. Cue the comeback….

-Roode goes shoulder first into the buckle and Styles locks on a cross face and Roode taps. Now Roode has a target on his body. Love the booking.

-Styles catches Roode in a small package with 9:45 to go. All ties up.

-Styles hits corkscrew springboard splash for a pin with 7 minutes to go.

-With 5 to go Roode holds the rope to pin Styles. Tied up again.

-Storm runs away from AJ for the last minute or so and the match ends in a tie. Normally I hate a non-decisive ppv finish but it worked here. Really great match, they really click together. Otherwise a pretty lackluster show.

-MATCH: CZW Wired TV title – Dave Crist vs. Jake Crist (c)

-Brothers? No idea but I assume yes….

-yes, brothers.

-commentators sound like they are on a walkie-talkie in the bathroom.

-Lots of dives to the floor right off the bat.

-”executive of talent relations crusher” made me pop.

-Awesome springboard DDT by Dave.

-Jake wins with a crazy flippy-piledriver type thing off the top. Decent action filled opener but you don’t want to bring out all the big shit too early. How do you follow it?

-Backstage promo audio is unlistenable. No idea who that was or what they said.

-MATCH: 2 out of 3 tables match – The Runaways vs. The Blkout.

-Worst superplex ever to the floor by the ladies in the match. Lucky there was four guys to catch them.

-Cool spot with Crissy Rivera sliding down a table.

-Rivera gets spiked through a table with a neckbreaker to go down a fall.

- “The tree of I’m fucked.”

-Gacy gets kicked off the top to the floor through a table to tie it up.

-Ruckus drops Kimber Lee on her head through a table for the win for the Blkout. Spotty fun match as you’d expect.

-MATCH: Drew Gulak vs. Derek Frazier vs. Alex Payne vs. Justin Rayz vs. tHURTeen vs. Ryan Mcbride.

-Rayz does a corkscrew moonsault off the top to the floor. Appears to be hurt, Internet reports were that he broke his leg.

-referee ends up brawling with Frazier, Gulak gets a pin in the ring from a new ref. a bit chaotic but most likely from the injury the didn’t mention or show after the dive.

-Apparently the ref (Drew Blood) and Frazier have a previous angle…. DJ Hyde comes out and fires Blood.

-MATCH: Rory Mondo vs. Drake Younger.

-Rory Mondo? I’d like a backstory on that. Dressed Like “Sick” Nick Mondo, in my opinion one of the greatest American deathmatch wrestlers ever.

-Drake hits a copkiller from the top through a chair for the win. Lots of glass and barbed wire as well as other treats…

-MATCH: Team Japan vs. Other Team Japan.

-The only guy I know from all ten guys in Jun Kasai. Apparently talent from K-Dojo, Big Japan and DDT.

-Team Japan 2 wins… Not sure what to say. Some sloppy work, some good work and some fucked up comedy with the gay character ending up with a broomstick up his ass.

-MATCH: Eddie Kingston & Homicide vs. Phillys Most Wanted.

-I always liked Eddie Kingston and wanted to see more of him on ROH tv.

-Usually I hate crane cameras on small Indy shows but this one gave us a look at the ECW arena we haven’t seen. (that place is like Graceland for me…)

-Match is ruled a no-contest after Kingston attacks a ref and all hell breaks loose. Match was good up to that point, there again is more backstory that I don’t know.

-MATCH: CZW Junior Heavyweight Title – AR Fox vs. Sami Callihan.

-Fox takes a couple of dangerous bumps on the floor.

-Fox taps to the Stretch Muffler, a painful looking submission. Match was kind of herky-jerky to start if that makes any sense but it built nicely into a pretty awesome match. I like Callihan a lot.

-MATCH: Ultraviolent Pits Match – Matt Tremont vs. Danny Havoc.

-Nail boards and tacks in the ring. Or so it appears.

-Tremont gets his foot stuck in the bed of nails… Not sure if it was his actual foot or just the boot but it looked good.

-Drew Gulak interferes and helps Tremont win… Not much to say. A pretty bland deathmatch….

-Fuck this show is long.

-MATCH: Greg Excellent vs. DJ Hyde.

-Excellent drags Hyde around ringside letting fans chop him.

-Some chick shows up and DDT’s Hyde but gets speared for her trouble. More backstory…

-Some other chick show up and Germans Excellent…

-Real American plays and Excellent strips to his undies and Hulks up. Hits a big boot and leg drop for a 2 count. I’m so confused.

-Greg Excellents mom shows up and hits Hyde with a chair and a stunner… I’m so confused.

-Zandig shows up and KO’s Hyde and Greg gets the pin. So now Hyde must dress as a genie and grant 3 wishes to Excellent. I’m so confused….

-This show was on iPPV so we can watch them set up the cage…. I’m gonna fast forward time lapse style…

-MATCH: Cage of Death – Scotty Vortekz vs. Robert Anthony vs. Masada vs. Devon Moore.

-Cameras missed the first big spot.

-Masada sticks skewers in. Anthony’s head.

-The belt fell from the ceiling during the finish which is unfortunate. Moore wins after being thrown down to the mat where the belt was. Barbed wire, glass, tables, ladders, you name it. Good times.

-I like the way they are taking Cena’s crowd reaction and doing some business with it.

-Cena segment too long….

-MATCH: The Miz vs. Randy Orton.

-Miz wins a short but decent match by count out after Orton chases after Wade Barrett. Weak finish but it made sense.

-WWE Network promo was awesome and I loved the song… Logo is awful though.

-As an on-air talen, Lauranaitis is horrid.

-Nash in a ladder match…. Oh lovely….

-MATCH: Alberto Del Rio vs. Daniel Bryan.

-Bryan taps to the arm breaker in a couple of minutes… Too short to be anything.

-MATCH: Kelly Kelly/Eve vs. Natalya/Beth Phoenix.

-Kinda cool how they popped in the 2012 hype vid into the Beth/Natty promo. I hope it’s Jericho but it’s probably Undertaker.

-Kelly rolls up Beth… TNA finish in about 2 minutes… Do we get a decently long match tonight?

-MATCH: Zack Ryder vs. John Cena.

-Cena catches a Roughrider and turns it into an AA for the win. Predictable finish but a really fun match.

-So Cena steps aside to give Ryder another chance to get a US title shot. Interesting wrinkle.

-MATCH: Zack Ryder vs. Mark Henry.

-Match is made no DQ/Countout. And saw Henry coming a mile away.

-Cena runs in and hits an AA on Henry and Ryder wins…min kinda blah about the whole thing.

-MATCH: Kevin Nash vs. Santino Marella.

-Just typing that made me throw up in my mouth a little…

-Obviously a squash for Nash but watching him lumber around the ring makes me sad.

-MATCH: Dolph Ziggler vs. Sheamus.

-Zack Ryder distracts Ziggler and Sheamus hits the bro kick for the win. Weird finish, un-babyface-like.

-Lauranaitus mentioned Brodus Clay’s introduction. Did I miss that??

-Ace “future endeavoring” Morrison was cute….

-Punks killing it during the contract signing.

-I don’t think anyone could pull this off as well as Punk. I give WWE creative credit for being able to take what they’ve done in the past and mock it and call a spade a spade in terms of what worked and what didn’t. And Punks persona and delivery make it a cutting edge angle. Kudos all around.

-The stage looks very festive…. In November…..

-Mick gets the old Glacier entrance.

-Cole dressed as a reindeer is just dumb. I think this show may be a throwaway.

-Booker as Santa….

-MATCH: Mistletoe match…. Fuck…. Anyway mistletoe is on a pole, Yada yada Yada….

-Brie Bella wins before I was able to finish the last line…. Mick says she now gets to kiss any superstar…. So bad…. Let’s move on, please.

-MATCH: Justin Gabriel vs. Jinder Mahal.

-Mahal cuts a decent promo on the way to the ring.

-During the match, Ted DiBiase comes out and hands out gifts to the fans distracting Raj… I mean Mahal and Gabriel hits the 450 for the win. Decent segment to build the feud.

-Dusty! He’s looking old…. Fun segment with Piper etc… Handled right, Otunga could be a monster heel.

-So is Kane putting the mask back on or….? #confused

-Cody attacks Booker backstage somi assume we won’t be seeing the match.

-MATCH: Kofi Kingston vs. Tyson Kidd.

-Kofi finishes Kidd with a cross body off the top wearing Coles Rudolph nose. I wish people really knew how good TJ is in the role he has in WWE. Maybe one day he’ll get a bit of a push. US title or something.

-This Aksana thing needs to stop. It’s TNA bad.

-MATCH: Miracle on 34th street fight – Randy Orton vs. David Otunga.

-Pretty much a squash for Orton until the expected Barrett run in. Beats down Orton but Otunga still can’t get the pin. He looked pretty green in this one and you could see Orton leading him around at points. Orton hits the RKO for the win.

-MATCH: All I Want for Christmas Battle Royal.

-So apparently the winner gets to ask Santa for something for Christmas…. Ugh.

-I see (among others) Yoshi Tatsu, Justin Gabriel, TJ and Jinder (hanging out next to each other) Ezekial Jackson, Hunico, JTG, Tyler Reks, Kofi, The Usos…. And others….

-MATCH: World Heavyweight title steel cage match – Daniel Bryan vs. Mark Henry (c)

-Henry wins with a WSS off the top. The cage stip made this a bland match but the finish was kinda cool.

-The Christmas stuff was kinda lame but hey, it was fun.

-MATCH: WWE US Title – Dolph Ziggler (c) vs. John Morrison.

-”We Want Ryder chants.” He’s done a great job of creating business for himself.

-Great pace to start, I’ve said Ziggler is a future main eventer but he may be too good if that makes any sense.

-Ziggler predictably wins with the Zig Zag…. Really solid opener…. I wonder what kind of run Morrison will/might have in TNA. And Chantal says Vickie needs a support bra when she runs.

-After the match Ryder hits the ring to a ridiculous pop and hits his finisher which Ziggler sells like a champ. Good work all around.

-MATCH: Lumberjill Match WWE Divas title – Eve Torres vs. Beth Phoenix (c)

-Beth wins with a Glam Slam off the top. A nice finish to an otherwise non-noteworthy match. Braden says Beth and Natalya suck…

-Otunga tells Punk that Lauranaitis wants him to apologize for what happened to Cole on Raw.

-Oops Rocky said WWF…

-Rockys promos are good but they are all pretty similar. He can’t stick around for too long because the promo’s will get stale. Braden says he wants to see Rock vs. CM Punk.

-I think they will have to turn Cena before WrestleMania for this to work 100%.

-Braden asked me if The Rock did the Rock Bottom and People’s Elbow when he was around back in the day….

-MATCH: Survivor Series Match – Wade Barrett/Jack Swagger/Dolph Ziggler/Hunico/Cody Rhodes vs. Sheamus/Sin Cara/Kofi Kingston/Mason Ryan/Randy Orton.

-Braden wonders where Bourne is which kinda makes me sad…

-Ziggler gets RKO’d and he’s out…

-And Sin Cara fucks his knee running to dive…

-And the simply eliminate Sin Cara because of the injury… A luxury you can use at Survivor Series…

-Rhodes puts out Mason Ryan with Crossrhodes. Mason needs work…

-The MSG crowd reminds me of a Canadian crowd. They cheer what they want…

-Barrett is looking extra greasy lately.

-Barrett pins Kofi with Wasteland after some great work all around. Everyone’s timing is impeccable thus far.

-Love that Cody ditched the mask.

-Sheamus gets DQ’d for repeated knees in the corner. Kinda weak way to eliminate him but it keeps his heat, he’s out without getting pinned.

-Swagger is out after Sheamus Bro kicks him on his way out and Orton pins him.

-Braden gets psychology! “why does he have to do the ropmddt every time? Why not just hit the RKO’D?”

-Hunico is out after an RKO and the Barrett hits Wasteland to pin Orton. Barrett and Rhodes survive. Kudos all around, great work by everyone, it worked out great even with the Sin Cara injury.

-MATCH: WWE World Heavyweight Title – Mark Henry (c) vs. The Big Show.

-”Boring” chant from the fans and I can’t say I disagree in the early going.

-Big Show drops an ugly elbow off the top to a huge pop from MSG. Henry then gets himself DQ’d from a low blow. The big downer is now we have to sit through this again.

-Henry wraps the chair around Shows ankle again, but he moves out of the way and KO’s him. Can we move on now?

-Apparently not as Show now ankles Henry in the chair and drops on him…. Interesting to see the booking future now.

-MATCH: WWE title – Alberto Del Rio (c) vs. CM Punk.

-Fink introducing Punk was genius.

-Del Rio taps to the Anaconda Vice after a phenomenal match. Leaves AJ and Roode in the dust. Great work from both guys.

-MATCH: The Miz & R-Truth vs. John Cena & The Rock.

-Rock pins Miz after a People’s Elbow finishing off probably the most boring main event in Survivor Series history.

-EVen the turnbuckle posedown after the match was boring. Rock hits a RB on Cena to close the show.

-MATCH: TNA Television Title – Robbie E vs. Eric Young (c).

-The velvet rope is a nice touch to Robbie’s entrance.

-Lots of comedy and some decent work but a weak interference finish from Rob Terry and Robbie E is the new TV champ. Too bad that belt is beyond meaningless.

-MATCH: TNA Tag Team Titles – Ink Inc. vs. Mexican America (c)

-Sarita puns Toxxine after a belt shot in a super-sloppy match. Not tight at all.

-MATCH: TNA X Division Title – Jesse Sorenson vs. Kid Kash vs. Austin Aries (c)

-Aries stole the promo with Kash before the match. Laugh worthy.

-Aries rolls up Kash from behind after the 2 work over Sorenson for pretty much the whole match. Somewhat bland.

-MATCH: No DQ – Christopher Daniels vs. Rob Van Dam.

-Daniels convinces RVD to drop the no DQ stipulation.

-RVD wins with the five star after Daniels tries to use the screw driver again. Pretty solid match, I like Daniels heel character.

-MATCH: Crimson vs. Matt Morgan.

-This would have been a great match… In 1987. Two big guys plodding along with no real flow or pace. Really did nothing for me and the double DQ finish after a ref shove is just gonna set up another PPV match with these 2….

-MATCH: Mr. Anderson & Abyss vs. Scott Steiner and Bully Ray.

-Another stellar Pre-match Scott Steiner promo. No idea what the fuck he’s talking about.

-Funny seeing the crowd get under Steiners skin by cheering him. Most noise the non-canned crowd has made all night.

-Abyss hits a BHS on Steiner as he’s arguing with the ref. Match was blah. Scott Steiner needs to go away and take Kevin Nash with him.

-Afterwards Abyss no-sells going through a table….

-MATCH: TNA Knockouts title – Gail Kim vs. Velvet Sky (c)

-Madison is laying it on a little thick in terms of her part of this storyline. We get it…. We see what’s coming.

-Gail wins after Madison interferes. Horrible match, Velvets not in Kim’s league and it showed. And I don’t agree with taking the belt off Sky already unless they give us a good angle for her to get it back.

-MATCH: Jeff Hardy vs. Jeff Jarrett.

-The mask Hardy wore to the ring was ridiculous.

-Hardy pins Jarrett in about 3 seconds….. Jarett says he wants to go one more time and Hardy says yes and the match starts again. Silliness. After the 3 count Jarrett popped right up basically no selling the twist of fate.

-Hardy pins Jarrett again after a roll up while Jarrett tried to apply the Figure 4. The work was decent but the angle was a little silly.

-Afterwards, Jarret hits Hardy with a chair on the ramp and drags him back to the ring…. Hits the stroke and makes Hebner count the 3 but at 2 Hardy rolls up Jarrett again and pins him. Overbooked.

-Solid Pre-match promo by Roode.

-MATCH: TNA Heavyweight Title – Bobby Roode (c) vs. AJ Styles.

-Roode wins with a handful of tights and the infamous TNA roll-up from a reversed Styles Clash. They could have come up with a better heel finish then that. As a match it was fine but with no build up the crowd wasn’t really into it. Quite a weak PPV over all….

We may go down this weekend to watch the Stamps (hopefully) kick some Eskimo ass.
