Ok… I’ve spent enough time beating myself up.  I’m black and blue.  Time to move along, there’s nothing to see here.

Remember those super cryptic pictures Trent Reznor was posting on Nine Inch Nails’ website in February and March? Turns out the may have not been for a Nine Inch Nails record after all.

A website for a mysterious project called How To Destroy Angels has been launched, and a photo on its page features a person who looks very much like Mariqueen Maandig, Reznor’s wife.

A 40-second teaser video is also on the page.

A publicist also sent out a cryptic email to publications like Consequence Of Sound, stating only “self-titled 6-track EP out this summer. Exact date TBA.”

Journalists have already speculated the project is a collaboration between Reznor and Maandig, since the photo looks like her, the video resembles many that have been posted to NIN’s website in the past and the band’s logo resembles work done by Nine Inch Nails graphic artist Rob Sheridan.

Further to that, How To Destroy Angels is the title of an album by dark ambient artists Coil, who Reznor has previously said are one of his biggest influences.

Who knows if this is real or just some kind of ruse, but it definitely smells of Reznor.

Earlier this year, Reznor was suspected of being the source of the Iamamiwhoami web series on YouTube. It was later revealed Swedish singer/songwriter Jonna Lee had been posting the videos.

Maandig is the former singer for California’s West Indian Girl, and left the band last year.

On March 18, the Ewaschuk family suddenly lost their beloved matriarch, Marie. Marie was an avid wrestling fan supporting the local indie scene over the last 30 years. She was known to all the wrestlers and became friends with most of them. Always quick with a joke, warm smile and one-of-a-kind laugh, Marie will not only be missed by her husband (Vic), son (Steven), grandchildren(Jasmine,Matthew), siblings, cousins and friends but by all of us in the professional wrestling business. We were all privaliged to meet and know her as her memory lives on in our hearts.

To pay tribute to Marie, local independent wrestlers are donating their time and abilities to host this professional wrestling event fundraiser. The proceeds raised will help the family cover costs for Marie’s memorial service.
