-Up first is Blue Panther/Hector Garza/Dos Caras Jr. vs. Hijo De Lizmark/Averno/Mephisto.
-Not a lot of variety in the workers we’ve seen over the last few weeks.
-Tecnicos win the first fall after Caras Jr. Hits a German on Averno. Bland fall #1.
-Rudos win fall 2 after a triple super powerbomb. Bland again.
-Garza gets the pin and the win for the Tecnicos.
-Jericho is a tremendous heel but I think I’m ready for him to be a face again.
-The Edge/Jericho face to face was well done.
-Baretta/Croft vs. Cryme Tyme was good, I could get into more of that.
-Punk gets a lot of promo time, which I’m cool with.
-Punk/Gallows vs. R-Truth/Morrison was good.
-Oooh!! What top shelf superstar is Bischoff talking about???? (/sarcasm)
-Dinero‘s certainly getting the rub.
-OK, get the hook on Flair and the Pope. Losing interest.
-Who’s more pale, Daffney or Sheamus?
-Micks getting a makeover… Why do I have a horrible feeling in my gut?
-Jordan and Joe’s finish was weak but hopefully it will get across what it needs to.
-Nice to see Kaz back, although he was never really gone…
-Kaz/Red/Gen Me vs. The Guns/Kendrik/Williams was fun.
-No one cared about the face vs face Abyss/Jarrett match. And the barbed wire bat thing was lame. And oh great, here comes Hogan….
-Ok, are they creating a Bischoff/Hogan rift? Clarify people!
-Brutus Magnus and Rob Terry both suck. This angle disinterests me greatly.
-Hogans promo with Abyss was pretty good.
-Wow, way to bury Daniels….
-Angles promo was pretty intense, albeit a tad self-indulgent.
-The Angle/Anderson confrontation was poor but ‘Total Nonstop Anderson’ is a cool line.
-Joe’s been kidnapped… Fucking lame. Come on guys, give me something!!
-Brutal ending with Nash/Hall/Waltman.
I’d just like to take a moment to wish my wife a happy anniversary. One year ago today I was lucky enough to marry the most wonderful woman I’ve ever known and today I step back and soak in how wonderful it’s been and how truly lucky I am.
Lord knows I am a bastard to deal with at the best of times and she shows infinite patience with me and makes me a better person.
She has also taken to caring for my son Braden and treated him as her own which is a wonderful thing for him and she has shared her son Jon with me which has enriched my life with his energy and humor. But equally as important is the life we created together. Owen can bring either of us to tears with just a sound or a look. He is truly a special little boy and I can’t wait to see the man he, and our other 2 boys will become in the future.
Happy Anniversary Chantal. May there be many more.

-Good match, Jarrett wins by countout, therefore the title can’t change. Jarrett isn’t happy.
-Jarrett goads Razor back to the ring to continue the match, despite Razors apparent knee injury. We are back underway….
-Jarrett gets the win with a small package after Razor attempted the Razors edge but couldn’t pull it off due to his ailing knee. Well booked and fun match.
-Up next is IRS vs. The Undertaker.
-This was the days where Paul Bearer carried around that big huge fuckin’ urn.
-DiBiase brings out some weird henchman/Druid looking dudes….
-’Taker has pulled the sit-up gimmick 5 times in the match so far.
-’Taker wins with the chokeslam, not much to write home about.
-Post match, ‘Taker is wasting those Druids and King Kong fuckin’ Bundy comes out and beats down the Undertaker.
-Match #3 is Bret Hart vs Diesel for Diesels WWF Championship.
-Pretty long and busy match with inference from Shawn, Owen, Backlund, Jarrett, and The Roadie. Match was declared a draw. Bret carried Nash to a decent contest.
-Up next is tag team action, Sparkplug Holly and the 123 Kid vs. Bam Bam Bigelow and Tatanka.
-Sparky and the Kid get the W after Tatanka accidentally knocks his partner off the top rope.
-Pamela gets introduced to the crowd and its time to start the Royal Rumble.
-HBK draws #1. Bulldog is #2.
-A few surprises, like Dick Murdoch.
-And after the dust settles, only Shawn and the Bulldog remain.
-Shawn wins after the famous skin the cat. Pretty fun stuff.
With ECW closing it’s doors next week I decided to dip into my library and dig up an old episode of WWE’s ECW and review it. Let’s go to the video tape!
-Shortly after SummerSlam ’06, the last time DX was running amok (sp?)
-Big Show is ECW champion.
-DX are seen arriving.

-Match #1 is an Extreme Rules match featuring Sabu and and RVD facing Test and Mike Knox (with Kelly Kelly.)
-Love the old-school brick entrance.
-Big spot where all 4 crash through a table at ringside.
-Pretty awesome fun brawl, kind of reminiscent of the original ECW. Sabu and RVD get the win after double-legdrops through a table.
-This was back when they were called “Extremists.”
-Kevin Thorn vingette with Ariel and her huge jugs.
-Matt Striker heads to ring, to teach us something I presume.
-Striker with the jab at the recently deceased Steve Irwin and that brings out The Sandman! Which makes Striker head for ze hills.
-Oh god, Marine hype.
-Kevin Thorn and Ariel head to ringside to join Joey and Taz to watch Balls Mahoney vs. Stevie fuckin’ Richards!!
-Stevie wins after interference from Thorn and Jugs.
-Shannon Moore vingette interrupted by CM Punk who slaps him and calls him a poser.
-Up next is a handicap Extreme Rules match between DX and Big Show. Until Paul E comes out and nixes the Extreme Rules.
-HHH readies Show for the Pedigree and Hardcore Holly hits the ring for the dq. Holly, Show and Heymans riot police but the books to Shawn until HHH cleans house with the sledgehammer.
Really fun show!
-So apparently with the demise of ECW, their roster are free agents…
-Baretta/Croft vs. Tatsu/Goldust is doong nothing for me. Fast forward.
-For the record, Yoshi and ‘Dust go over and take on ShowMiz for the belts on the finale.
-Jackson beats jobber. Ho-hum.
-What a stroke of luck that WWE runs TV in ‘Orleans right after the Saints win the Super Bowl.
-Blood?? No we can’t have blood!!! Not on EXTREME Championship Wrestling.
-Archer and Shelton was blah as well.
-Match 1 is Mascara Pupura vs. Virus in a “Lightening match.”
-Apparently a Lightening match is a one-fall 10 minute time limit match, encouraging offence.
-Virus gets the win after a Vertaebreaker/cop killer/whatever its called these days. Pretty fun match.
-Up next is a CMLL tag-title match featuring La Sombre and Volador Jr. Taking on champs Mephisto and Averno.
-Rudos win fall 1 after reversing a Dragoncanrana into a stiff looking powerbomb.
-The Fight Network ticker is distracting as hell.
-Sombre appears to be injured after a hard fall to the floor missing a corkscrew dive.
-Volador evens it up 1 fall apiece after a sunset flip.
-Volador has to go it alone in the 3rd fall but won’t say die!! Sombre tries to pitch in but he’s not much use. Lots of near falls.
-It’s a mask-ripping good time for the rudos!!
-Volador gets one pin after a one man Spanish Fly, one pin away from single-handedly winning the titles.
-The rudos get a pin after Volador is hit with 2 double-arm facebusters. They also just need to pin La Sombre to retain….
-But La Sombre catches Mephisto in the inside cradle for the pin and new tag champs. Really fun well booked match, loved it.
