Saturday
Pretty packed evening for little ol’ me. I may have found a new hackey sack partner, although I don’t think I’ll be successful at “roller hack.”
Drinks with some work friends last night, wouldn’t be complete without a Robert Satchmo urine story.
“I will follow you into the dark” by Deathcab for Cutie is a great song, so is the new one by City and Color.
A Tremendous Gesture…..
In the spirit of employee/employer relations, I have decided to give Vittorino his own blog post:
In the spirit of supervisor/supervisor wannabe(Boris), he has decided to let me post my own blog. Knowing full well that this goes everything against my blogging/myspace/nexopia morals, i will grant him his special request and type this nonsense to you readers. The end.
p.s Once upon a time there was a young strapping lad named, Todd. He was a very jovial boy who longed to go to work everyday he could. But unbeknownst to Todd, his very odd and always angry supervisor despised him. This very angry supervisors name was George. George would tell Todd about his haunting past including those of the dreaded rice patties and the history of the Ramones. One day George gave Todd a tiger superplex off Big Joe, and Todd was never seen again. Some say he was burned into ashes by the ferocity of Georges’ superplex but others say Todd turned into a creamy little substance, which George ate and said to himself “mmm little asian treat.” Fin.
Well, that was….. Interesting.
Who’s No. 1?

Tuesday night on ECW on Sci Fi, the No. 1 Contender to the ECW World Title will finally be determined. Kurt Angle, Sabu and Rob Van Dam will compete in a No. 1 Contender Triple Threat Ladder Match, with the winner going on to face Big Show for the ECW World Title at SummerSlam.
This past Tuesday, Angle and Sabu squared off in a No. 1 Contender Match, but it was interrupted by the shocking return of Van Dam. Back from his 30-day suspension, RVD attacked both men with a chair, rendering the match a No Contest. Many were surprised that he would attack long-time friend and partner Sabu, but apparently the quest for revenge and gold outweighs the alliance between the two Extremists.
Obviously, RVD is looking to regain the ECW World Title that he feels was stolen from him on July 4, and now he is one step closer to that opportunity. Of course, it’s an opportunity Angle and Sabu both covet as well, and now they may have the extra added motivation of paying RVD back for his actions.
Big Show said last Tuesday night that it doesn’t matter who the No. 1 Contender is, because he will “crush them like crackers for (his) soup.” On Tuesday night, three men will be one step away from becoming the proverbial fly in his SummerSlam soup.
What will be the outcome? Will Angle head to SummerSlam with a chance to become the second man to ever hold the WWE, WCW and ECW Championships? Will Van Dam get a chance to regain what he feels should still be his? Or will Sabu get the chance that he’s been denied of three weeks in a row? Find out Tuesday night at 10/9 CT when ECW on Sci Fi is live from Washington, D.C.
ECW on Sci Fi 08/08/06 Review

Not sure if this is the episode that will air on Global this Friday so I decided to watch it early.
Mike Knox def. Tommy Dreamer – Dreamer is still visibly injured from last week. After overcoming an early beatdown, Tommy takes over on Knox untill Paul Heyman and his riot police dudes hit ringside. Heyman distracts the referee as the other 2 destroy Dreamer on the floor, toss him back into the ring for a pin by Knox.
After the match the trio are poised to continue the beatdown on Tommy but the Sandmans music hits and he heads to ringside to protect him. Heyman tells Jimmy he loves Dreamer like his own son and asks the referees to take him away for medical attention… He then tells Sandman he will be in a handicap match tonight which leads to:
Mike Knox and Test def. Sandman by DQ – Sandman gets double teamed early on but uses his tremendous arial skills to take over and gets DQ’d after using the cane on his opponents.
Video package for Sabu and a pre-taped promo where he says he will get what he wants after he defeats Kurt Angle tonight. Dripping with Charisma…
Balls Mahoney vingette talking about how he loves ECW…..
Kevin Thorn def. Al Snow – Watchable match that started with a lot of intensity. I hate the gimmick but Thorn pulled out a few cool moves and got the win with the Razors Edge.
Pre-tape from Kurt Angle saying Sabu is suicidal for getting in the ring with him tonight.
Renee Dupree pre-tape, saying he will be the most extreme athlete in ECW. Ok….
Big Show comes out in a suit, says he wants to bring some dignity to ECW and no one can beat him.. Very odd promo.
CM Punk vingette thanking the fans from his debut last week and next week he will compete again.
Kurt Angle nc. Sabu – Really great match showcasing the best of both guys. Late-going Angle has Sabu in the ankle lock and who should appear but Rob Van Dam. He nails Angle, checks on Sabu in the corner, who gives him the thumbs up and then BOOM! Skateboards the chair into Sabus face. Celebrates in the ring, end of show.
Not a bad episode, I liked Van Dams return and the possibility of Sabu vs. RVD vs. Angle. I also like that they did not rely on a Raw or Smackdown guy for the main event.

I need to do a good cleaning of my apartment. It’s not gross or anything but now is as good a time as any. Maybe Thursday morning/afternoon.
ECW on Sci Fi 08/01/06 Review

Test and Mike Knox def. Sandman and Tommy Dreamer – Entrances were way too long but it was a pretty fun brawl. My only concern watching this match was that this is what WWE believes ECW was all about but they counter-balanced it well with what came later in the show. After Sandman and Knox battled to the back, Paul Heyman and his riot police appeared and shoved Tommy into a barbed wire board in the corner leading to a TKO from Test for the win. It was fun to watch.
Sabu confronts Heyman in the back and says he wants Big Show. Heyman says not this week, not ever.
CM Punk def. Justin Credible – They handled Punks debut well and he was over with the NY crowd just like I thought he’d be. Credible got a lot of offence in but Punk takes the match by submission.
Batista video package… He’s the Animal, we know… blah blah blah…
Back from commercial and the Brooklyn Brawler is in the ring. Says he’s too extreme for RAW, too hardcore for Smackdown and he will be ECW champion. Out comes…
Kurt Angle def. Brooklyn Brawler – Squash. Obviously.
Vampire vingette, apparently his name is Kevin Thorne. I hate it.
Batista def. Big Show by DQ – Both are booed heavily by the fans, including chants of “you both suck” and “change the channel.” Match was blah, Show gets dq’d after hittin Dave with the belt. After the match Sabu runs in and hits show with a couple of Arabian Facebusters untill Show falls off the ring apron through a table.
This weeks episode gave me hope for the ‘new’ ECW. There is talk of giving them there own tv taping and I think that can make a big difference is asthetics and just the overall feel of the show as the fans were “off the charts” as Taz would say.
On tonights episode (It’s on Global in a day or 2 I think) it’s Sabu vs. Angle.
Heritage Days
Went to check out Heritage Days today. It was hot and crowded but very cool. If I may be philosophical for a moment, if more cities did something similar to what they do here then maybe…. Just maybe there would be a little more tolerance in our world.
I watched about 30 seconds of RAW on The Score tonight and I fucking hate the ticker. Just blitz that thing, even just for the original Monday night broadcast.
I had pretty fun days off, Spent one with my man Tex, a night out at (ugh) Santanas and then the last couple with Chantal, Jonny, Mel and Benny… All in all I can go back to work tommorow knowing I had a good time with my days off.
