PWA Saturday Night

Wednesday, August 30th, 2006

Well, things didn’t go exactly according to plan Saturday night at NAIT. We went in with designs on becoming #1 contender to the PWA title…. What we ended up with was a loss on our record and I ended up with a fucking headache. Have a look here.

Extreme Bikini Contest: Torrie Wilson vs. Kelly Kelley - Torrie goes first and when it’s Kelly’s turn Mike Knox and Test come out to stop her which brings Dreamer and Sandman to the ring which leads to…

The Sandman, Tommy Dreamer and Torrie Wilson def. Kelly Kelly, Mike Knox and Test - Someone needs to tell Kelly that if you are in a tag match you need to stand on the ring apron. Decent match that ends with Dreamer DDT’ing Knox for the win.

Backstage Paul E hypes up Big Show for his rematch with Sabu but is worried. Show says Sabu is out of his element and he is a walking weapon.

Matt Striker vingette. He is our teacher, we are uneducated blah blah blah.

Extreme Rules: Kevin Thorn def. Balls Mahoney - Started slow but finished ok. Arial stops Balls from using his chair by biting his leg, chair gets kicked into Balls face and then a version of an Ace Crusher for the win.

Another Shannon Moore vingette… Getting old….

CM Punk def. CW Anderson - Short but decent. Punk wins with the Anaconda vice.

Trailer for The Marine. Looks so fucking bad.

Backstage Heyman is talking to someone. Saying he understands this person has been held back due to his violent reputation…. Camera pulls back and it’s Sparly Plugg, er, I mean Hardcore Holly. Pauley tells him to make an impact.

Rob Van Dam def. Danny Doring - Basically a squash, after the match Holly comes out and destroys them both with a chair.

Renee Dupree vingette, he’s extreme.

Big Show def. Sabu by Disqualification - After a ref bump Sabu goes table and chair and weapong crazy untill he gets dq’d after hitting Show with the bell knocking him over the top rope through a table. Show bleeds buckets.

MTV star arrested for allegedly sexually assaulting 2 young girls

Wednesday, August 30th, 2006

LAKEWOOD - An MTV reality star was arrested at a local skate park Friday after accusations of sexual assault were reported.

Reality TV star ‘Don Vito’ or Vincent Margera, 50, was arrested Friday evening shortly after 8 p.m. outside the Denver Woodward Skatepark at the Colorado Mills Mall, according to Lakewood police.

Police said Margera is accused of touching two 12-year-old girls inappropriately after an autograph session at the skate park.

The skate park was holding a meet and greet event featuring ‘Don Vito’ and ‘Glomb’ from MTV’s Viva La Bam reality TV show. Roughly 60 people came to the event.

A friend of one of the victims told 9NEWS that she talked with one of the 12-year-olds and she sounded scared while talking to mall security.

Jim Shires of the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Department said Margera is being charged with two counts of sexual assault on a child. Shires also told 9NEWS he will be held on zero bond until he appears in court. He is currently at the Jefferson County Jail.

Bam Margera, Vincent Margera’s nephew, made him famous on his show Viva La Bam. The MTV reality show followed the life and practical jokes of Bam and his friends and family.

Vincent Margera has also appeared on MTV’s Jackass and various movies and commercials.
Margera will be advised of his charges in court Monday at 10 a.m.

Apparently on Radio Bam on Monday night, Bam said that they are only after his money (and he has none) and that Don Vito is very sick and may not live out the year. Don’t really know what to think about this one…

Monday Night

You may remember some time ago a whole ton of old WWE tv tapes were donated to me by Grizz and I was going through them and making a compilation tape of the good and the bad of WWE. I got about 5 hours through volume 1 and kinda abandoned the project as I had a bunch more old tapes donated by Tex and the project got a little overwhelming. Well, before Raw last night myself and Grizz watched most of what I had done and now I want to keep the project going. the only issue is I don’t know which of the old tapes I’ve gone through and which I haven’t. But I think I’m going to give it a go.

Also, kudos to Grizz for nailing the explosion count in the trailer for The Marine.

Raw was a pretty awesome show last night too.

Elephant’s Memory - A Touching Story

Monday, August 21st, 2006

In 1986, Mkele Mbembe was on holiday in Kenya after graduating fromcollege. On a hike through the bush, he came across a young bull elephantstanding with one leg raised in the air.The elephant seemed distressed so Mbembe approached it very carefully. He got down on one knee and inspected the elephant’s foot, and found alarge thorn deeply embedded in it.

As carefully and as gently as he could, Mbembe worked the thorn out withhis hunting knife, after which the elephant gingerly put down its foot. The elephant turned to face the man and with a rather stern look on itsface, stared at him. For several tense moments Mbembe stood frozen, thinking of nothing else but being trampled. Eventually the elephanttrumpeted loudly, turned and walked away.

Mbembe never forgot that elephant or the events of that day. Twentyyears later he was walking through a zoo with his teenaged son. As theyapproached the elephant enclosure, one of the creatures turned and walkedover to near where Mbembe and his son Tapu were standing.

The large bullelephant stared at Mbembe and lifted its front foot off the ground, thenput it down. The elephant did that several times then trumpeted loudly, all the while staring at the man.Remembering the encounter in 1986, Mbembe couldn’t help wondering if this was the same elephant.

Mbembe summoned up his courage, climbed over therailing and made his way into the enclosure. He walked right up to theelephant and stared back in wonder.

Suddenly the elephant trumpeted again, wrapped its trunk around one of the man’s legs and swung himwildly back and forth along the railing, killing him.

Probably wasn’t the same elephant
